AspireAssist Therapy

A reversible, non-surgical weight loss device that drains a portion of stomach contents after meals, helping patients reduce caloric absorption without permanent anatomical changes.

AspireAssist is a non-surgical weight loss device that helps you remove a small portion of your meal from your stomach before your body absorbs all the calories. A thin tube is placed in your stomach, and about 20 to 30 minutes after eating, you use a small external device to drain about 30% of the meal. It is less permanent than surgery and can be reversed at any time.

AspireAssist is an endoscopic weight loss device consisting of a percutaneous gastrostomy tube (A-Tube) connected to an external AspireAssist siphon assembly. After meals, patients aspirate approximately 30% of gastric contents, reducing caloric absorption. Clinical trials demonstrated mean excess weight loss of 31.5% at one year versus 9.8% with lifestyle therapy alone. It requires patient compliance with aspiration, nutritional monitoring, and regular follow-up.
